| Model of 1893 - Magazine Cut-Off |
|
Model 1893's have a unique magazine cut-off feature. The cut-off when activated pushed down on the top round so that the bolt would not be able to strip a round from the magazine. However, a single round could be placed on top of the magazine and this would be loaded. The point was to keep the magazine in reserve while still being able to fire the weapon.
